Ever wished you had a super rich uncle who died and left you everything in his will? I fantasize about it all the time! I can just see it now. It would be a rainy afternoon in the middle of April. I can see myself bundled up in a hoodie rushing to get the mail from my mailbox. In my haste I drop one letter in the mud and quickly pick it up as the sticky mud clings to my fingers. Making it to my front door I slam it and began fumbling through every piece of mail. And there it is in a plain white envelope addressed to "Miss Mercedes Thomas". As I open it the mud from my fingers climbs onto the envelope with no respect to its clean simplicity. "Dear Mercedes...." it reads, "....has left you all of his possessions totaling $1,000,000,000." Then BOOM! My body hits the floor and the next thing I know I'm in an ambulance with a strange lady peering over me.
Yep, I can totally see that happening! But until then my rich uncle will have to stay in my dreams.
Although this dream may not be a reality for me, today something pretty close to that happened. A dear friend of mine announced today that she had put me in her WILL! She has made me an official owner of her business if something were to ever happen to her. Speechless is all I can say. What an honor!
Sometimes you have to do something different to get different results. Yesterday was my first step and I'm already starting to cash in! Literally!
